100th Day of School! (2/6/17) We practiced counting to 10 on a 10-frame with delicious snacks. We did this 10 times until we had 100 SNACKS!

Being Healthy Is Fun! In January, we are learning all about being healthy. We learned about different healthy foods, and even got to try some! To learn about grains, we made bread from scratch and learned about how wheat is harvested and turned into flour we use for baking. We also tasted some delicious green vegetables that were kindly donated by the Harris Teeter in Canton! We even had a visit from Bubbles the Clown, who used magic to teach us that being healthy can be fun.

Oct. 18th- Service Day We had a visit from Ms. Katie and her dog, Lucy, and a kitten from the SPCA! For our service project, we made toys for cats at the SPCA!
ReLove We just started our ReLove humane education program and met our class pet. We named her Lola. We practiced safe greetings with Lola. Remember, always ask, "May I pet your dog, please?"

Fingerpainting We read Little Yellow and Little Blue by Leo Lionni and then we learned how to make little green!
Tasty Shapes We practiced sorting and making shapes with some snacks. We also practiced with Playdoh and connecting links.
Making Playdoh We explored our sense of touch by making our own Playdoh. We added peppermint extract to use our sense of smell, too.
First Week of School! We had so much fun making friends and exploring our classroom!
